TT Marxiana is a project to reconstruct pre-revolutionary fonts used in the 1887 layout of Niva magazine, published by A.F. Marx in St. Petersburg. The focus is on reviving a specific font set from that edition. TT Marxiana Antiqua is a scotch style serif that carefully preserves printing artifacts of the time—such as dot gain, subtle letter deformation, and other visual nuances—bringing historical authenticity and character into modern digital typography.
